Capacity Development
Bringing Standards to Action
Capacity development (CD) is a one of the core pillars of the IFSB’s mission to strengthen resilience and stability in the Islamic financial services industry. We help members translate policy guidance into practical outcomes by equipping institutions with the tools, expertise, and capabilities needed to support sound regulation, supervision, and sustainable growth.
Our CD programmes cover key workstreams, including Islamic banking, takaful and retakaful, Islamic capital markets, Islamic monetary operations, and Islamic deposit insurance and financial safety nets, and are tailored to members’ priorities and stages of development. They serve “regulatory and supervisory authorities, policymakers, and industry practitioners”, and are tailored to national priorities and stages of development.
